Getting Started
Store templates (blocks of commonly used text) here to avoid typing out the same details every time on your quotes.
For example, If you are a carpet fitter, you might use the following text on most of your quotes:
- Lift all existing floor coverings and prepare sub flooring by de-nailing, removing all carpet gripper, door bars and unwanted carpet/flooring accessories.
- Supply and lay suitable quality branded underlay and new chosen carpet using new carpet gripper supplied and installed to the perimeter of the room and new chrome finished door bar.
- Remove all generated waste from site upon completion of installation works.
You can create as many templates as you like for all your common jobs or tasks, each one with its own unique nickname.
Creating a New Template
In the Templates section, click ‘New Template’ to create a new template.
Simple give the template a short nickname that you can use to easily identify it on the dropdown list. In this example we’ve called it ‘My First Template’.
In the text box below you can enter as much text as you wish and all of this will automatically appear in your quotes when you select this template.
Also this text can be edited and tweaked, so for example if you wanted to change any of the text or add any costs here, you can still change the text on the create quote page.

Using Your Templates
As shown, when you next create or edit a quote, the templates you have created will be available in the dropdown list. Simply select the required template from the list and the text will automatically appear on your quote description. You can use more than one template too – when you select a template the text will just appear at the end of the description if you already have some text there.
